I am a candidate for the Minneapolis Public School Board because I believe that our children and our public schools are our city’s greatest and most important assets.
As a neighborhood activist and as a professional working with children and families, I have extensive experience in forging partnerships, providing leadership, and implementing activities that facilitate healthy communities for children, families, and residents of Minneapolis. As a parent of a child in a Minneapolis Public School, I know there are success stories happening in our schools every day that are not being shared. I also know there are challenges we need to immediately address and resolve. As a school board member I would: provide strong leadership, a commitment to implementing a strategic plan fully focused on the academic success of ALL children, and ensure that our district is accountable to the citizens of Minneapolis
In order for the city of Minneapolis to have strong and vibrant communities, the health and well-being of our children and our public school system must be our highest priority. Please join me in the effort to ensure that Minneapolis Public Schools are ready for our 21st Century children. I am excited about the future success of Minneapolis Public Schools because I believe the communities of our city will actively work and support the “common good” – quality public education for our children.
Thank you for reading my website and being interested in the future of Minneapolis Public Schools. I would be honored to have your support at the DFL city convention.
